George Gordon Nogle was born on 27 May 1898 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He was a cinematographer, known for The Graduate (1967), Trader Horn (1931) and The Giant Gila Monster (1959). He died on 22 October 1977 in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, USA.- Les Keiter was born on April 27, 1919. He attended the University of Washington where he met and married Lila Hamerslough. The couple moved to Hawaii the year they were married. Their Les Keiter did baseball re-creations, something that was common in those days. Returning to the mainland he became one of the most well known sportscasters of all-time. First with a stop in Modesto, California in the early 50s where he announced games for the Minor League baseball team 'The Bee's'. Keiter then moved to New York and announced numerous national and international sports events for major radio and television networks including the NFL, the NBA and Major League Baseball. Between 1956 and 1985 he announced twelve championship heavyweight fights for ABC and Mutual. He was the sportscaster for both the New York Baseball and Football Giants from 1954 to 1962 (he was the recreation announcer for the San Francisco Giants in New York after the Giants left New York for San Francisco after the 1957 season). He also was the announcer for the New York Knicks from 1955 to 1962. In 1968 he announced Olympics coverage (in Mexico City for Mutual). After a stay as a sports director in Philadelphia (WFIL) in the late 60s Les moved back to his beloved Hawaii, where he became the sports director at KHON-TV, Channel 2, the now FOX but then NBC station in Honolulu. From 1971 to 1979 Keiter was the "Voice of the Islanders", the island's Triple A Professional Baseball team. Les has appeared in fourteen episodes of Hawaii Five-O, and picked up the nickname 'The General' as he often portrayed a high-ranking military officer in some of his Hawaii Five-o appearances. Was friend of Five-o star Jack Lord and Heavyweight champ Joe Frazier. He has written an autobiography called "Fifty Years Behind the Microphone", where on June 6, 1998; it was formally added to the Special Collection at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Les is now retired (as of 9/2006) from television and radio and lives in Kailua, O'Oahu, Hawaii. He keeps involved in the local sports scene by serving as the media relations coordinator for Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. Member Honolulu Quarterback Club and inductee into the Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame and the Big 5 Hall of Fame (Class of 2003). The Kieters have five children and eight grandchildren.

Milton Rosen played the violin from an early age and was later trained in orchestration and composition at the Institute of Musical Art in New York, where he worked with Italian composer Pietro Floridia and the Russian emigre conductor Vladimir Bakaleinikoff. He composed several classical pieces (including "A Columnist Suite for Violin & Piano") during the 1930's, which were widely performed by notable symphony orchestras in Boston, Pittsburgh, Cincinatti, and at the Hollywood Bowl. Rosen also worked in radio and musical theatre, primarily as orchestrator and arranger. In 1939, he joined the music department at Universal and became a member of ASCAP two years later.
Rosen remained under contract with Universal (except for a brief stint at Fox in 1948), from 1943 until 1973. During his tenure, he wrote more than 150 songs and contributed, either as arranger, conductor or musical supervisor to dozens of the studio's often colourful, escapist extravaganzas. After 1950, Rosen held the position of assistant to the head of the music department at Universal.- Bruce J. Matheson was born in 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was married to Mary Jo Fain. American circus star Margaret Nearing was 4 when she sang for the troops in WWI. At 7, she and her sister Rose (9), without benefit of poles or umbrella's, were the youngest and only "song and dance" tight wire act in the world. The Davies Sisters grew up on the road, working circuses, rodeos, theaters and State Fair's across the country and in Hawai'i. While in San Francisco in 1930, and now known as the Nearing Sisters, they had their own show on radio KFWI, sang and danced tap and soft shoe at the Casino Theater, and appeared on opening night at the new Fox Theater. In 1933, the beautiful, blue eyed, curly haired, platinum blonde soprano started working the major movie studios where she was known as "The little lady with the big voice". In 1935, she sang in the first coast to coast radio broadcast (San Francisco to New York). In 1936, she moved to Hawai'i and married famed hula dancer, legislator and Real Estate Broker Kenneth Olds (a descendant of the royal houses of Tahiti and Hawai'i). They have four children, Nalani-Alua Napoleon, Kenneth Olds Jr., Francine McLaughlin and Mauliola Aspelund. Nearing spent the rest of her life in Lanikai on the Island of O'ahu where in 1961 she co-founded the "Mortgage Players" which she directed, choreographed, and costumed until 1983 when she died of throat and lung cancer at the age of 70.- Donald Mundell was born on 12 October 1933 in Alameda, California, USA. He was married to June Anne Stebbins. He died on 31 October 1999 in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, USA.- (Alice) Kealoha Pau'ole Holt was born on the Garden Island of Kaua'i on February 10, 1919. She was born into a life of modest means with a lineage directly tied to the royal families of Hawaii. Kealoha developed into one of the most celebrated hula dancers in the world and was crowned Miss Hawaii Aloha in 1939. Her introduction to the world of movies came by way of MGM, who sponsored the event, and sent her to Hollywood to play the part of the native dancer in the movie Honolulu with Robert Young and Eleanor Powell. Movie life was not for her and she returned to Hawaii, married FBI Agent Dan Curnan, and produced seven children. Her former daughter-in-law is author/screenwriter/producer Cynthia Curnan; her grandson Chris E. Curnan also produces and great-grandson Kahokuloa (Hoku) Curnan is an aspiring young musician who also worked as an intern in an Albert Pyun production. Kealoha is in good health and enjoying life with family and friends in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii.
